Tipperary County Council is being urged to have a dedicated Strategic Policy Committee for Health and Wellbeing.
The issue was raised as representatives were being proposed to sit on the local authority’s various SPCs which range from housing to economic development, climate action and community.
Given the growing issues with mental health across the Premier North Tipp Independent Councillor Seamie Morris feels it should have its own committee.
