Gardaí across Tipperary will be cracking down on motorists with faulty lights over the coming days.
It's all part of a nationwide joint initiative by the Road Safety Authority and the Gardaí called Light Up.
One headlight on a car could be mistaken for a motorcycle or make it impossible to see a pedestrian out walking because visibility has been reduced by 50 per cent.
Gardai will also target motorists in Tipperary for the inappropriate use of fog lights.
On the spot fines will be imposed by Gardai.
