A North Tipperary Councillor has accused the Environment Minister of not being straight with septic tank owners.
Councillor Michael Smith has criticised Phil Hogan's refusal to extend the February 1st deadline for registration of septic tanks until new inspection standards are published.
Minister Hogan says he's pressing ahead with the deadline as is.
If home owners fail to register by then, they will not be eligible for any grant aid if their system needs upgrading.
