Calls for head of Rehab to disclose salary

The Tánaiste's all but called for the Chief Executive of Rehab to make her salary public.

This piles the pressure on Angela Kerins to reveal how much she's being paid in the wake of revelations about the small profits from their scratch-card scheme.

Eamon Gilmore says there's no reason for the salary to be kept private.

Meanwhile, The Oireachtas Health Committee's appealed for calm and is pleading with the public to continue to support charities.

It's in the wake of the controversies around the C-R-C and Rehab – as well as pay and top-ups in some services.

The Committee is now to ask all charities to appear before them to explain pay, fundraising activities and costs.
