Revised planning application for Tipp venue to be lodged

A revised planning application for the Tipperary Venue is to be lodged
next week.

While permission was granted for the original plan, they were
effectively shot down by Justice Minister Alan Shatter when he ruled
that the casino aspect was too large.

Following a lengthy review of the multi-million Euro Two-Mile-Borris
project, Richard Quirke has now decided to focus on the
equestrian facilities.

However, speaking on Tipp Today earlier North Tipp T.D Michael Lowry
said the smaller scale casino meant two of the main financial backers
of the project have withdrawn their support.
