The founder of Chernobyl Children International says the only way to make the world safe from the threats posed by nuclear power plants is to wind each of them down.
Clonmel born Adi Roche is visiting Japan today on the first anniversary of a devastating earthquake that triggered a tsunami killing 19 thousand people.
Ms Roche is visiting the country at the invitation of a number of Japanese businessmen, with a view to raising international awareness of the horrific conditions close to the exclusion zone surrounding the Fukushima power plant.
