The six year old boy was hit by a struck in Dunmanway yesterday afternoon.
A forensic examination of the scene where the young boy was struck by a truck in Dunmanway is expected to take place today.

The six year old child remains in a serious condition in Cork University Hospital following the incident on the Bantry Road at Tonafora.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have information to come forward.
