Young people are being warned that drinking too much is dangerous – and it isn’t any fun if you make yourself ill.
Fianna Fáil’s Spokesperson on Youth Affairs says she was shocked to see how many young people were very drunk, when she picked up her own son at a recent event in Dublin.
Deputy Anne Rabbitte is urging restraint to teenagers attending festivals and music gigs over the rest of the summer.
She particularly wants to get the message out, ahead of the Galway Races next week, that being refused entry is a sad way to put a stop to a great day out.
