The multi million euro water and gas project for the North Tipperary town was started last year…with the first phase of extending the gas network from Limerick to Nenagh completed, the next phase consists of building out the gas network around the town.
Work will begin on Wednesday of this week on the town's water and wastewater system…it follows years of problems with smells around the town due to the old water network.
The start of the next phase of the 17 million euro gas and water project has been welcomed by Environment Minister and Tipperary TD Alan Kelly.
