Woman arrested in connection with death of toddler in Dublin

A woman has been arrested in connection with the death of a toddler in Dublin.

The boy was found with stab wounds at an apartment in Kimmage on Monday.

 

The three year old was found dead at an apartment block in the Poddle Park area of Kimmage on Monday evening.

He’s been described by neighbours as “beautiful”, “chatty” and a dog lover.

The boy’s mother was taken to hospital with serious knife injuries on Monday evening, and underwent emergency surgery.

This morning, a woman in her early 40s was arrested.

She’s being held at Crumlin Garda Station where she can be questioned for up to 24 hours.
