Visiting ban at South Tipp General

A visiting ban has been implemented at South Tipperary General Hospital due to an outbreak of the Winter Vomiting Bug.

The HSE says that no visitors will be allowed into the wards of the Clonmel facility, with the exception of critical care patients and emergency circumstances.

Patients attending maternity services may only be accompanied by their designated person/spouse while only parents and guardians will be allowed onto the children’s wards.

Hospital management say that Cancer Services, Emergency Services and Outpatient Services will continue as normal.

The situation will be reviewed on a daily basis.
