A white US police officer who fatally shot an unarmed black man – whose broken-down car was blocking a road – has been charged with first degree manslaughter.
Court papers filed by Tulsa County said Officer Betty Shelby escalated the situation and over-reacted in shooting Terence Crutcher last Friday.
Lawyers say if she's convicted, she faces at least four years in prison.
Video footage of the incident was released earlier this week.
