Two arrested after stabbing in Dublin

Shortly before 8 o'clock last night, an altercation broke out between three men on the Luas platform at Miltown.

Two men -including a security guard- have been taken to hospital for treatment for stab wounds.

Shortly before 8 o'clock yesterday evening, a man -in his 20's – sustained stab wounds – during an incident involving three men – on the Luas platform at Milltown. 

The man was taken by ambulance to St James Hospital. 

It’s understood two Luas security guards intervened in an attempt to break up the altercation. One of the security guards sustained a stab wound during the incident and was also taken to hospital.

Gardaí arrested two men as part of the investigation. One of the men – aged in his 30's – is currently detained at Rathmines Garda Station.

The second man – in his 20's – was also taken to hospital for treatment.

None of their injuries are believed to be life threatening.

An examination of the scene is underway.
