The billionaire plans to visit his golf resort in Doonbeg in Co Clare later this month, after seeing his courses in Scotland.
The trip – by the presumptive Republican presidential nominee – comes at the same time as the US Vice President Joe Biden plans to be here.
Trump is expected to be confirmed to run for the Republican party in July.
