Tributes have been paid to a Thurles man who died while hill walking on the Comeragh Mountains at the weekend.
Locals have been left shocked at the death of well known accountant Michael Fewer.
He was a member of the Mid Tipp Hillwalkers who were out on the mountain on Sunday afternoon.
Shortly after midday Michael took ill on the mountain – he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Michael lived on the Mall in Thurles and was a member of Spain, Fewer, Quinlan & Company on Slievenamon Road.
