Tipperary set to benefit from angling facilities funding

Inland Fisheries Ireland has announced €500,000 in grant aid aimed at increasing tourist numbers and employment levels.

Angling is worth €836m to the Irish economy annually with over 11,000 people employed in mainly rural areas.

With Lough Derg, the Shannon and the Suir Tipperary is well placed to benefit from the allocation.

Head of Business Development  at Inland Fisheries Ireland Suzanne Campion is encouraging angling clubs, tidy towns and community groups to come on board.
