That's the call from the Tipperary based Save Our Local Community Action group.
Justice Minister Frances Fitzgerald and Garda Commissioner Noirín O'Sullivan have this week announced an extra €5 million for Operation Thor which will allow for 100 thousand additional Garda patrol hours.

The group is also appealing for new high-powered patrol cars to tackle crime and not be used as a means of generating revenue targeting speeding on motorways.
