Malala – who also won the Nobel Peace Prize earlier this month – will give 50,000 dollars to help repair UN schools damaged in the recent conflict between Israel and Hamas.
She also won the Tipperary International Peace Award last year.
The 17 year old – who was shot by the Taliban for speaking out for education rights – says that “without education there can never be peace”.
