Tipperary County Council seeking extra funding from Transport Minister

A deputation from the local authority is Dublin bound to lobby Pascal Donoghue for emergency monies to make up for the shortfall in the county's annual allocation.

The group include the chairs of the 5 municipal districts, CEO Joe McGrath and other senior county officials.

Director of Services for Roads Marcus O'Connor says they’ll be highlighting the upgrading of the N24 and also the upgrading of the link between Nenagh, Thurles and Clonmel.

The deputation will also raise the issue of the general funding the authority gets for the maintenance of the regional county roads.
