Tipperary blood donation efforts recognised.

The IBTS is set to to hold a donor awards ceremony in Limerick tonight to highlight nearly 200 people who have given 50 and 100 donations of blood.

34 Tipp donors will be awarded for 50 donations, while two will get special mention for having donated 100 times. 

Donors from Thurles, Tipp Town, Nenagh, Dundrum, Newport, Ballina/Killaloe, Templemore, Roscrea, Killenaule, Holycross and Ardcroney will be honoured for having reached the milestone of 50 donations. 

Anthony Condron and James Slattery, both from Thurles are part of a small group of eight people who have given 100 donations. 

The ceremony will take place at the Greenhills Hotel in Limerick tonight at 7pm.
