A North Tipperary author finds out this morning if he's a step closer to claiming the most prestigous prizes in literature.
The shortlist for the Man Booker Prize will be announced at 10.30 and Donal Ryan – originally from Burgess – is one of three Irish novelists included on the long list.
Ryan who still works as an inspector with the National Employment Rights Authority in Shannon is being considered for his first novel – The Spinning Heart
