Tipp motorists told not to drive after drinking

The August Bank Holiday weekend is one of the busiest of the year with thousands of people taking the the roads to visit family, friends or attend festivals.

So far this year, nine people have died on Tipperary's roads – that figure is more than double the one recorded for 2015.

Inspector Eddie Golden of the Tipperary Traffic Corps says alcohol is a factor in a lot of road crashes.
