A large number of Tipperary farmers have been shut out of the Farm Assist Scheme due to changes in the application process.
Fianna Fail claim the move has seen a 25% drop in the number of farmers in the Premier County benefitting from the scheme since 2012.

404 Tipp farmers availed of funding 4 years ago compared with 300 in 2015.
Local TD Jackie Cahill says this is down to changes made over the last few years which have made it far more difficult for farmers to qualify for the scheme.
