Tipp drivers warned not to get behind wheel after drinking

Operation Surround, which targets drink driving in the Tipperary region, has been ongoing over the bank holiday with extra checkpoints set up around the county. 

So far this year, eight people have lost their lives on the county's roads.

Gardaí are targetting bad driver behaviour with multiple checkpoints set up at various locations with a particular emphasis on drink-driving

Inspector Eddie Golden is appealing to people who may have done it in the past, to make alternative arrangements this weekend.
