As part of a delegation to investigate renewable energy options, members of the local authority took part in a study tour on Bornholm – a Danish island in the Baltic.
Tipperary County Council was encouraged to partake in the trip because of its strong track record in terms of green energy.
Cathaoirleach of the Thurles-Templemore municipal district Cllr John Hogan was part of the delegation and he says it's vital to make the idea of renewable energy relative to the public.
