Tipp councillor urges removal of carbon tax from peat products

It comes amid concerns for the industry as the price of oil collapses while the cost of other fuels have come down significantly.

With a new government expected to be formed in the coming weeks – Thurles councillors are demanding that the issue of carbon tax on peat be addressed immediately by the next Energy Minister.
