Tipp council urged to do more for animal charities

 

Recent figures revealed that the amount of dogs that were put to sleep in Tipperary by the dog pound had dramatically reduced following the involvement of dog charities that re-home stray animals. 

Several charities, including Mo Chara and Paws Animal Rescue receive funding from Government; however it's not enough to fund their services. 

Nenagh Sinn Fein Councillor Seamie Morris wants the local authority to provide more financial assistance to these groups
