Tipp among beneficiaries in capital grant scheme

Nationally, almost two million euro has been announced in capital grants for 86 organisations.

The Minister for Children and Youth Affairs Katherine Zappone has announced projects in Thurles, Nenagh, Roscrea and Clonmel that will receive funding grants ranging from ten to fifty thousand euros. 

The Clonmel Community Youth Project in the Elm Park Complex is the largest beneficiary with €50,000 for Health and Safety and disability improvements. 

In Roscrea, Kickback Youth Cafe has got over 6,600 euro for the purchase of IT equipment while they will also benefit from over 28 thousand euro for building renovations. 

20 thousand euro has been allocated to a number of projects in Thurles; the Thurles Youth Project / Youth Information Project and North Tipperary Traveller Youth Project. 

And Nenagh Youth Development Project has been allocated over 10 thousand euro for new computer and media equipment. 

The funding has been welcomed by Independent TD Mattie McGrath.
