58 year old Thomas Ryan with an address at Marlfield, Clonmel was sentenced to five years in jail for the abuse which began when his daughter was 10 years old.
Simone Flanagan waived her right to anonymity because she didn't want her father to get away with what he did having ruined her life.
Thomas Ryan was given a 5 year jail sentence at Clonmel Circuit Court last week having pleaded guilty to 10 sample counts of abusing his daughter between 2003 and 2008
The abuse began when Simone was just 10 years old and continued until she was 14.
Speaking to Fran Curry on Tipp Today Simone spoke of the fear she felt during those years.
A number of the incidents allegedly happened at the family home at Wilderness Grove, Clonmel, while others took place at Brook Crescent, Clonmel.
Simone says one of the things that stopped her telling her mother or reporting the abuse was the fear of losing her family.
18 months of the 5 year sentence imposed on Thomas Ryan was suspended.
Simone told Fran Curry that she will never be able to forgive her father but admits part of her will still love him.
