The trial of North Tipperary TD Michael Lowry has been adjourned until September.

The Former Fine Gael Minister is facing 4 counts in relations to allegedly filling incorrect tax returns.

Mr Lowry of Glenreigh, Holycross is charged with 3 counts of knowingly filling incorrect tax returns in October 2003 and another count of the same charge in August 2007.

The Book of Evidence in the case was served on the Former Fine Gael Minister last April and he was sent forward for trial to the current sitting in Nenagh.

However the court heard that the matter was adjourned by consent until the next sitting on September 4th.

The case will come up for mention again in July in relation to a number of preliminary trial issues.
