New figures from the Office of Public Works show that over a quarter of a million people took a trip to the South Tipp heritage site last year with almost a million euro taken in gate receipts.
It makes “The Rock” the fourth most popular tourist attraction in Ireland after The Botanic Gardens, Farmleigh and Kilmainham Gaol.
