Teenager killed in North Tipperary crash.


Another life has been lost on Tipperary's roads.

The latest victim was the driver of a car which crashed on the M7 near Roscrea last night.

Less than a month into the New Year and already three people have been killed on Tipperary's Roads.

The latest victim – an 18 year old man was the driver of car which crashed at Junction 22 of the M7 at Roscrea at around 9 last night. He was pronounced dead at the scene

Three other passengers in the car – two females aged 19 and 20 and another 18 year old male – were taken to Portlaoise Hospital but have since been released.

The single vehicle crash happened on the northbound lane of the motorway and conditions at the time said to be poor with sleet and hail.

The M7 will remain closed northbound between Junction 23 Moneygall and Junction 21 Borris-in-Ossory until around lunchtime.

Garda in Nenagh are appealing for witnesses to the crash to contact them on 067 31333.
