Tánaiste warns against early NAMA inquiry

The Tánaiste says it's premature to call for a Commission of Investigation into NAMA until a major report has been examined.

The sale of NAMA's Northern Irish loan book will today be the subject of a 700-page report by the state's spending watchdog.

The Taoiseach says that needs to be examined by the Public Accounts Committee as a next step.

And Tánaiste Frances Fitzgerald says calls for a commission are premature.

Taoiseach Enda Kenny says there may also be legal issues with a Commission of Investigation that spans two jurisdictions.
