Survey finds majority want abortion referendum

A new opinion poll shows that two thirds of Irish adults want a referendum on abortion.

The survey found 66 per cent were in favour of a vote on the issue, while 22 per cent were opposed.

12 per cent were “Don't Knows”.

The survey was carried out by Amarach Research for RTE's Claire Byrne Live programme.

A panel of one thousand adults were interviewed for the poll yesterday (Monday).
