Supervalu tops Christmas shoppers list

SuperValu comes out on top with just over 24 per cent of the market share.

Tesco remains in second place, with just point-6 per cent fewer grocery sales.

While Dunnes Stores in third has experienced non-stop sales growth for the whole of 2015, bringing them to over 23 per cent. 

The figures from Kantar World panel, which cover the last three months, also show that Lidl had an extra 37-thousand more shoppers compared with the same time last year.  

And Aldi's popularity is also growing – it now has a market share of more than 8 per cent.
