The event – which has attracted over 120 competitors – is headquartered at the Clonmel Park Hotel.
It covers a loop of three stages with each being covered three times and forms the 6th round of the National Championships.
While the stages are based around Newcastle and Ballymacarbry town Clonmel will still be a hive of activity as servicing takes place at Powerstown Park.
Ray Heney of Tipperary Motor Club says the event will lead to a significant economic spin off for the area.
