Staffing at Cashel hospital raised with Minister

Deputy Mattie McGrath tabled a Parliamentary Question to Minister Simon Harris asking the number of people employed at the Cashel health facility.

According to the HSE there are approximately 43 people working across a range of different services, care groups and functions in the main building at Our Lady's in Cashel.

The details were supplied in response to a request from Tipperary TD Mattie McGrath seeking information on the numbers employed in Cashel.

The Minister instructed the Health Service Executive to reply directly to Deputy McGrath.

The HSE say these staff use the hospital as a base with many providing services to the wider community and surrounding areas.

Among the services provided in Our Lady's are a Minor Injury Unit which operates Monday to Friday from 9 to 5, Radiology & Ultrasound, Home Help Services & Services for Older People, catering and administrative services.

Key Primary Care Services are also delivered from Our Lady's in Cashel

Staff working with other agencies including TUSLA and the Irish Wheelchair Association also use the building on a sessional basis.

Deputy McGrath says he has re-submitted a further question for Minister Harris specifically requesting a breakdown of all services together with details of the how many have attended these.
