Speeding crackdown over Bank Holiday weekend

Traffic volumes are set to increase right around the Premier County today as people travel to visit family or friends while a number of festivals are also on this weekend including Slane and Bike Fest in Killarney.

So far this year, 3 people have been killed on Tipperary roads.

Garda Niamh Dooley of the Cahir Traffic Corps says that the weather for the weekend is not going to be great, so drivers should take extra precautions such as turning on lights.

She is advising motorists to slowdown turn points out that speed limits should not be seen as a target.
