Slight increase in numbers signing on in the Premier County

Figures released by the Central Statistics Office show that 9 additional people joined the live register in the month of May following three months of decreases.

North Tipperary was worst affected where 15 people joined the dole queues – the biggest increase was in Thurles were 27 extra people are signing on.

In South Tipperary, the figures fell by 6 – the largest drop there was in Clonmel where 44 people came off the live register.
