Sinn Féin steps up its General Election preparations

Party faithful in the North-West/Midlands constituency will use today to elect local leadership who'll get them ready for a vote.

The most recent opinion polls suggest Sinn Féin would have 20 per cent support if an election was called right away.

However, the Taoiseach Enda Kenny has made it clear the Coalition won't be going anywhere before its mandate runs out in 2016.
