The Carrick on Suir born developer's written evidence contained the German phrase – which translates as 'work makes you free' – and appeared in Nazi death camps like Auschwitz.
Deputy Alan Shatter says it's entirely inappropriate for the phrase to appear on the Oireachtas website.
