The government's Economic Management Council meets today to decide what to do about water charges.
The Environment Minister – Tipperary’s Alan Kelly – and Communications Minister Alex White who have responsibility for Irish Water and parent company, Ervia will also attend the meeting.
They'll discuss ongoing efforts to better explain to people about water charges and exactly what will have to be paid.
But no announcement's expected after the meeting of the EMC, with Government sources saying they are determined to take time to get any new package right.
It comes amid reports this morning that Irish Water has agreed to cut controversial bonus payments to staff by 4% to a maximum of 15%.
