Ballot papers will be issued to all those eligible to vote on April 11th – with polling set to close at 11 o'clock on Tuesday April 26th.
The upper house is comprised of 60 members – 11 of whom are nominated by the Taoiseach – with the remaining 49 seats contested in a general election.
Tipperary currently has two Senators – Fianna Fail’s Labhrás O’Murchú and Denis Landy.
