The R498-0097 at Borrisoleigh – from Ballyroan Bridge to Kearns Cross on the Borrisoleigh to Nenagh road will be closed for restructuring works from August 31st for a week.
The project, which stretches for 3 and a half kilometres, means there will be no through road from Nenagh to Thurles via Borrisoleigh and vice versa…with diversions via Templemore, Roscrea and the M7 to Nenagh.
Local Independent Councillor Willie Kennedy says the timing of the work could be better but there is nothing Tipperary County Council could do as they only got the funding approved recently.
