US Naval Officers will be put to work cleaning up Cobh today – ahead of the centenary of the sinking of the Lusitania on Thursday.
The sailors are in the town with the USS ANZIO a missile cruiser – with the American Ambassador among the invited guests to tour the ship.

Cobh Councillor Claire Cullinane says the visit come at the start of a busy week for the town and the sailors will be put to work today.
