Road Safety Week begins

Road users are being urged to make small changes in terms of safety in order to make a big difference collectively on the roads.

The RSA is appealing to drivers at the start of Irish Road Safety Week.

139 people have lost their lives on Irish roads this year – that's up 21 on the same period last year.

12 people have died on Tipperary roads this year….four times the number of people killed last year.

Brian Farrell of the Road Safety Authority says the initiative will focus on different aspects of road safety as the week progresses.
