It’s understood she was driving a ride-on lawnmower which collided with a ditch at Toureen, Rossmore.
The tragedy happened at around 6.30 yesterday evening.
The body of the 57 year old has been taken to South Tipp General Hospital where a post mortem is to be carried out.
The road at Toureen remains closed this morning as Gardaí carry out an investigation into the incident
