Revised Proposals Accepted by INMO Members

Members of the INMO have accepted revised proposals to tackle overcrowding and staffing at EDs in hospitals around the country.

They voted 72 per cent in favour of the revised proposals from the Workplace Relations Commission.

Meanwhile, there are stark contrasts between the hospital Emergency Departments serving Tipperary today.

University Hospital Limerick – which serves North Tipperary – has 37 people waiting for a bed having been admitted from the ED.

This is the highest number in the country today according to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation.

Meanwhile there is just one patient on a trolley at South Tipp General Hospital…..this compares with a high of over 30 waiting for a bed at one point last month in the Clonmel health facility.

There are 332 people on chairs or trolleys in hospitals across the country today….down from 384 yesterday.
