Retailers prepare for second day of strike action

Close to a million people were affected yesterday, when drivers at Dublin Bus and Bus Éireann walked out over plans to privatise up to 10 per cent of routes. 

And with two out of every five shoppers in Dublin using the bus to reach the city centre, retailers are worried that footfall may suffer.

Spokesperson for Dublin Chamber of Commerce, Graham Mc Queen says suburban shopping malls may be more popular this bank holiday weekend.
