Residents of North Tipp housing estate say services not up to scratch

Residents of a housing estate in Roscrea say essential services there are already at breaking point without any extra development in the area.

The local authority hopes to build a small scale social housing project on land near the Glencarrick estate.

The residents group say they have no problems with the social housing development but stress that the existing infrastructure needs to be sorted out first.

Jason Moore from the Glencarrick residents association says water pressure is a major problem with tanks taking up to half an hour to refill after a shower while there are also issues with the sewage system.
